FAA/HIMS Program
From 1986 to 2006 Dr. Tullis served as the Medical Director of
Lakeside Behavioral Health System’s Impaired Professionals Program.
In this 3 to 4 month residential 12-step-oriented program he
treated pilots and air traffic controllers utilizing FAA/HIMS
guidelines.
In June of 2003 Dr. Tullis presented “Treatment of Addiction” at the
HIMS Mini Seminar for Pilots, held at the Federal Express World
Technical Center in Collierville, Tennessee.
Dr. Tullis became a consultant for Psychiatric/Addiction Medicine
Assessments of Pilots for Aviation and Preventive Medicine
Associates, Palmer Lake, Colorado, in February of 2006.
Since 2006, he has been an FAA/HIMS approved psychiatric/addiction
medicine consultant.
